Product Overview

T he Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane is an advanced sep aration technology widely used in water purification and wastewater treatment. It employs a semi-permeable membrane with precise pore sizes (typically 0.01–0.1 µm) to remove suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, and macromolecules while allowing water and dissolved salts to pass through.
This process ensures high-quality filtrate suitable for various industrial, municipal, and domestic water treatment applications.

Working Principle

Ultrafiltration operates under low transmembrane pressure to drive water through the membrane surface.
Contaminants larger than the membrane pores are retained on the surface (retentate), while clean water (permeate) passes through.
Depending on the system design, UF membranes can be configured for outside-in or inside-out filtration modes.
Periodic backwashing and chemical cleaning maintain long-term performance and extend membrane life.
